LiMP VPN extension for Chrome
VPN right in your desktop browser: traffic protection, server selection and per-domain split tunneling. Download the extension archive and install it using the guide below.
ZIP archive, Chrome 120+. The extension is installed manually — it takes about two minutes.
How to install the extension
Download the archive
Click the 'Download the Chrome extension' button above — a ZIP archive with the extension will be saved to your computer.
Unpack the archive
Extract the ZIP into a dedicated folder and remember its location — e.g. 'Documents / LiMP VPN'. Do not delete the folder after installation: Chrome loads the extension from it.
Open the extensions page
Type chrome://extensions in the Chrome address bar and press Enter.
Enable Developer mode
Toggle on 'Developer mode' in the top-right corner of the page.
Load the unpacked extension
Click 'Load unpacked' and select the folder where you extracted the archive.
Pin it and sign in
Click the puzzle icon next to the address bar and pin LiMP VPN. Open the extension, sign in or create an account — and connect.
Chrome may warn about an extension running in Developer mode — this is standard behavior for extensions installed outside the Chrome Web Store. Only download the archive from limpvpn.com.
What the Chrome extension can do
The LiMP VPN extension adds a secure connection right inside your desktop browser: Chrome traffic runs through an encrypted tunnel and your real IP address is hidden. Unlike a system-wide VPN, the extension only affects the browser — your other apps keep using the regular connection.
- Encrypts browser traffic and hides your real IP address.
- Per-domain split tunneling — choose which sites go through the VPN.
- Server selection and one-click switching.
- Same account as the mobile apps — up to 10 devices.
- No-logs policy: connection history is not stored.
